How to overcome fatigue
28 Mar 2016 Article by Women's Weekly
Do you find that you’re constantly putting family, work and friends first, and neglecting your own needs?
You’re not alone. In fact, a recent Symbio™ wellbeing survey of Kiwi women aged 25-74* found that 93 per cent agree they often put the needs of others before their own. What’s more, nearly 60 per cent of these women said that they’re always feeling tired.
We need to do something about these numbers!
If you’re always tired, maybe it’s time to get your balance back.
Reasons for fatigue vary, so it’s important to check with your doctor if you’re experiencing daily tiredness, but sometimes dealing with that ‘always tired’ feeling is as simple as eating a nourishing breakfast and making time for healthy snacks.
An easy way you can start to get your balance back is with Symbio Probalance yoghurt. A single serving contains billions of natural probiotics, plus calcium and fibre to support digestive balance. Calcium helps support the conversion of food to energy, so Symbio is perfect for including with cereal, over fresh fruit or as a delicious snack on its own.
Simple ways to support energy:
Get enough sleep. If that sounds obvious, it is! While it can be difficult to get seven to nine hours a night, all that beauty sleep can help improve your energy levels.
Eat often. Keep your energy up throughout the day by eating regular meals and snacks every 3-4 hours. Try Symbio on muesli for breakfast or enjoy a pottle for afternoon tea.
Cut the caffeine by mid afternoon. Too much caffeine can make you feel scattered and disrupt sleep cycles. Instead, reach for water to keep hydrated and Symbio Pouring Yoghurt for a refreshing alternative mid- afternoon snack/drink.
Daily exercise can give you more energy! Support recovery with a nourishing eating plan including Symbio Wholegrains. As a source of protein, it has all the benefits of Symbio with the addition of brown rice, buckwheat and quinoa. It’s not only delicious, it’s gluten-free too!
